Fill Your Bucket

Fill Your Bucket

April 10, 2016

Over my 22 years as a myotherapist, I learned how to read the physical body. (Something that can amaze people or freak them out 😄) Yes, our bodies always tell our stories.

Are we flexible?
Stressed?
Feeling unsupported?
Focused on finances?
Clinging with fear?
Concerned about the future?
Feeling burdened?
Are we manipulative?
A people pleaser?
Rigid in our thinking?
Love to talk?
Live in our ego?
Have relationship issues?
Holding onto deep wounds?
Grounded?
Scattered?

Yep, the exact areas where we are physically restricted or holding tension in our bodies, all the way to to the shaping of our toes, reveal important clues to our current mental and emotional standing.

And if I had to pick the most common issue I see in my clients, it would be the imbalance of 'giving to others at the expense of self.'

Giving to others is a beautiful thing, but we've got to fill our own bucket first, otherwise we begin feeling depleted. Remember, we can't give what we don't have. By loving and nurturing ourselves first, we will always have plenty to share with the world.

"There is a fountain inside you. Don't walk around with an empty bucket." ~Rumi
