Staying Calm Amid The Chaos

Staying Calm Amid The Chaos

May 6, 2025

Peace is not the absence of chaos, but the ability to find calm within it. ~unknown

No matter how much we examine and probe all the chaotic events being reported throughout the world, I would wager none of us have the full and accurate scoop on any of it. We're basing our opinions on partial information at best. For this reason, it is wise to not cling too tightly to any particular angle. As I wrote in a blog post several years ago, it's essential to be flexible in our personal assessments of what is true. This will help us remain calm amid the chaos. Allowing the pandemonium to provoke intense reactions, knocks us out of our conscious equilibrium. Alongside awareness and preparedness; neutrality, objectivity and flexibility are powerful attributes to embrace right now, for they offer us a grander panoramic view of the events taking place during these transitional times.

Getting caught up in the chaos weakens our frequency. This can cause us to sink into a downward spiral of despondency, fearing the worst and focusing on details, rather than the big picture - a spiritual battle is underway and is nearing its apex. While the intensity builds, it's vital to keep our energy elevated as we advance ever closer to this long awaited planetary shift.

4 Simple Ways To Cultivate Inner-Calm

Solitude: When things are feeling chaotic, rather than racking our brain for answers, take some time to sit in silence and just breathe deeply for awhile. Oftentimes when stress levels rise, our breathing becomes shallow and rapid, which can intensify anxiety. Slowing our breathing signals the body to relax. This can help quiet the mind, reduce heart-rate and blood pressure, and recalibrate our nervous system.

Get Creative: Stepping away from the chaos and starting that new project we've been talking about, will instantly lift our spirits. Grab a crochet hook, paint brush, spatula or set of garden gloves, and engage in creative activities that bring about a sense of fulfillment, pleasure and purpose.

Cherish The Little Things: Whether it's a colorful sunset, a heartfelt conversation, or a slobbery kiss from a pet, seek out tiny moments of joy whenever things start feeling overwhelming.

Go Outside: The sunshine has so many healing benefits. Even a short walk around the neighborhood can help clear our heads and raise our vibe. Plus we're getting exercise!

Yes, these are extraordinary times we're living in, my friends. Now, more than ever, it is imperative we all step out of fear-mode, stay calm amid the chaos, and maintain a high vibrancy. This will help us make it through the tough moments, with less tension and conflict. Remember, the outer-world is simply mirroring our inner-world. When we can calm the mayhem within, our outlook regarding external circumstances will brighten as well.

Stay safe. Stay calm. Stay aware. Everything is unfolding perfectly. 😉
