We all have them, those puzzling parts of ourselves we often bash and denunciate. But it's when we can acknowledge the presence of all that messiness and not attempt to hide any of it; when we can dance with it and love ourselves in spite of it, or dare I say, because of it, that the spark within us ignites and we blaze our absolute brightest.
So on this sweet day of INDEPENDENCE, I propose we REALLY set ourselves free by bravely embracing every aspect of who we are, so we can look out at the world through eyes of compassion and love. No longer tempted to blame, condemn or criticize, for we will have found the intrinsic piece of the puzzle we've been forever seeking - acceptance of ourselves.
