The Journey Of Remembering

The Journey Of Remembering

March 4, 2016

The other day someone told me that I'm a great teacher. As much as I appreciate the sentiment, I have to say, I don't jell with the term 'teacher' anymore than I do 'leader,' and don't aspire to be either one.

I remember back in grade school, I ALWAYS got in trouble for talking and disturbing the class, so I guess you could say at best, I am still that girl who loves to talk, throw ideas around and perhaps occasionally disturb. 🤪

My point is, the things I talk and write about - self-empowerment, self-awareness, etc - aren't about learning, so much as remembering. Specifically, remembering who we are, and that is a solo walk, for it is the journey into ourselves. That's where the answers are, and the cool thing is, beneath all the theories, techniques, concepts and ideologies we've been 'taught,' we've always known.

The most anyone can do is remind us to look.

I hope you'll look.
