Whatever we're passionate about, whatever we absolutely love doing, whatever it is that we would jump up out of bed each day and do for free, why not figure out a way to make some money at it?
Creating an income doing what brings us pleasure, is so much fun. I have spent the majority of my life making up businesses; thinking up different ways to do what I love with the least amount of start-up cost. For instance, in my 20s I designed and manufactured swimwear, dancewear and athletic apparel, which lasted for nearly 25 years. I opened a boutique for awhile, then when the Internet came along, I took my business online.
As a side hustle, I enjoy finding deals and flipping items online for extra moolah. I even flipped cars for awhile. I'd buy them, fix them up, and resell them for a profit.
Sometimes learning a new skill can be beneficial. You would surely laugh, if I told you all the classes I have taken throughout my life! Yes, I'm the Jill of all Trades, and perhaps the Master of Nothing, however, each of those courses of study added something valuable to my repertoire, or at the very least, made clear what I DIDN'T want to pursue. In the end, it all makes for some pretty interesting writing! 😉
Finding a way to use our creative abilities in a meaningful way, is so fulfilling and if it puts a little change in our pockets, all the better. When we're able to make a living doing what we truly love, then like the saying goes,
we will never work a day in your life.That's because it will all simply feel like playtime!
