A total beach bum at heart who sometimes over indulges in dark chocolate, I blog about self-empowerment, life challenges, healing, relationships (especially the one with ourselves) and just about anything that grabs me in the moment and inspires a rambling.
I love resale shops. Porch swings. Laughter. Nautical decor. Flourescent pink. Stimulating conversations. Tiny bungalows. And occasionally a little Bailey's in my coffee. I enjoy morning hikes and transforming old, ugly pieces of furniture into something beautiful again. I'm an avid reader who savors the smell of old books, and prefers movies with happily-ever-afters. My deepest passion is writing and I've dabbled in poetry for as long as I can remember. But my absolute favorite thing of all is strolling barefoot along the ocean shore!
I've been a solopreneur for most of my life, favoring the freedom it lends over hustling for someone else's dream. After 25 years designing swimwear and an overlapping 22 years as a therapist, I longed to dive into something brand new. So I got my Arts degree in writing (which was all sunshine and straight A's till Math happened, lol), closed my practice and spent my nights geeking out until the wee hours of the morning learning everything I could about web design. Today I'm situated in Arizona where I offer freelance copywriting and graphic design services. I'm having such a blast collaborating with amazing people from all over; designing everything from business cards to entire websites.
Having faced trauma early on in my life and finding my way out of its labyrinth, I toyed for many years with the idea of publishing a memoir about how I rebuilt my life after experiencing abuse. Inspiration would strike and you'd find me in a writing frenzy for weeks, only to set it aside untouched for months. Then I'd come back to it and start the cycle all over again. Not understanding at the time that the process itself was a healing one that wouldn't be rushed.
In 2013, when I held the first printed copy of my book in my hands, I was literally jumping up and down. It was a dream finally realized. Since that time, with all my new design skills in my toolkit, I gave that first book an extensive overhaul. I changed the title, revised the cover and added fresh insights and information.

Today I navigate life with soul. When it comes to my freelance career, I enjoy partnering with individuals and businesses who share my enthusiasum for adventure and collaboration, and I invest my efforts in initiatives that are making a difference in the world. I'm doing what I relish - spotlighting new ventures using my knack for design and my love for storytelling.
