Spelling With Words

Our thoughts often incite feelings within us and those feelings ultimately affect the creation of our individual experiences. When we put our thoughts into words, we add something to them. We add our feelings to them, and the listener of our words can detect the intensity, or lack thereof, of what we're expressing. When we are passionate about what we're saying, it's apparent to the listener and it affects them.

Our words have the power to uplift others, or turn them off. Our words matter. What I mean is, our words are a cause that creates an effect. Similar to music, they carry a vibration that affects those that hear them, so it's important to be conscious of what we say and how we say it. It is not the utterances of the words so much as the emotion put behind the words. Our tone of voice for example, sends a clear message to the receiver, who will get the message regardless of the words used.

When we were in elementary school we learned to 'spell.' That is the perfect term to describe what happens when we speak or sing or even write - we cast spells that affect everything around us. When we communicate with others from a space of love for example, that love ripples out into the world and changes it.

So stay mindful and always speak from the heart, for our words really do make a difference.
