When it comes to choosing between what we know well, and the obscure unknown, we often pick our proverbial suffering. We will linger in the familiar even if it no longer fulfills us, because we've made ourselves super comfy there.
But I wonder, did we come here to stay in our comfort zones or did we come here to live adventures that would grow us? I think I know the answer.
We're not plants. We don't grow standing still. We thrive through experience - by learning something new, trying things we've never tried before, and by going places we've never been. We grow by taking chances, making mistakes and even failing miserably. Safeguarding ourselves from such experiences stunts our development. Not to be harsh, but what's the point of life, if we're not gonna live it? If it's fear that holds us back, then maybe it's time to face it.
By finding the spunk to leave our comfort caves, and begin exploring uncharted territory, we will surely stretch and expand ourselves far beyond what we have ever been. That's what real living looks like.
