This is an addendum to my last post regarding beliefs.
Whenever we read or hear something, and decide the information is true, we aren't in knowing-ness, we're in believing-ness. What I mean is, unless we've actually had encounters that prove the information accurate, we're just speculating. It is only through our own personal experiences that we ever actually 'know' anything.
The funny thing is, as we walk further down our road, after having new experiences, we may decide that some of those things we knew to be true, aren't true for us any longer.
We shift. We change. We redefine. We grow.
Our biggest growth spurts usually happen during our most challenging ordeals. Of course, these moments aren't fun and we will often try everything in our power to avoid them, yet we can't read our way to profound wisdom, nor can we listen our way there, it is only through the journey of overcoming our struggles that we acquire such insight.
