Whenever we find ourselves saying things like,
I hate my job, but at least it has great benefits,or
Yeah, (s)he can be an ass, but it's better than being alone,we're simply conjuring up excuses as to why we're settling.
Ever notice how we rarely feel compelled to justify the things we really resonate with; the things we truly love and care about? That's because they're heartfelt and touch us at a deep level. Anything less means we're probably sacrificing a potentially fulfilling life for a mediocre one.
Ironically, when we decide to live authentically - meaning we're no longer willing to settle - our vibe naturally raises, opening the flood gates for more soul-aligned things to flow into our experience.
So the choice boils down to this:
Forfeit our soul, in order to keep the things we don't even really want.
(or)
Forfeit the things we don't really want, so we can fully access our soul.
