and although we may shiver and quake from the storm,
remember we came well-equipped to withstand the rumble.
This exact moment of fray.
Clear your eyes of the dust and debris
that fog your clarity and dim your shine.
As the storms fury tempts us to wane and crumble,
don't be lulled by its thunderous racket
or swept up by its incessant gale.
We didn't come here to focus on the storm.
We came to sit within its core, holding our light
to illumine the suffering and injustice hidden in the darkness
and veer the winds towards change.
Yes, it takes courage, vulnerability and unwavering fortitude, but
SPEAK YOUR TRUTH boldly so your voice is heard over the roar.
STAND IN YOUR POWER to help calm the chaos and point the way.
SHOW YOUR SOUL, allowing its flame to throw off sparks
setting ablaze the ways of old and turning it to ash.
And when you're weary, discouraged
or feeling lonely, rest awhile.
Sit within the stillness of your heart
and hear the whisperings of your soul,
reminding you of why we are on this quest
and the magnificent gifts we came to bestow.
