Silence grants us an opportunity to reconnect with ourselves - focusing inward rather than always out at the chaos encircling us. It's during these still moments that we uncover revelations about who we are, why we're here and what our role is in any of it.
The hardest part seems to be giving precedence to all that quietude. So silly when you think about it, right? Not allowing for the one thing that can truly renew us?
Maybe the real issue is that we think sitting still means we're not really doing anything. Who has time to do nothing? Or maybe we're just too addicted to 'out there', unwilling to step away from the perpetual stream of stimulation. Have we separated ourselves so far from the silence that we no longer recall its value? Have we gotten so lost amongst the chatter that we've forgotten life isn't meant to be so dang hard?
Silence is soothing. It aligns us, redirects us and leads us back home to ourselves. In the calm we bring to light why we're here at this particular, amazing, transformational point in time.
All we have to do is breathe.
Everything is unfolding perfectly.
